Is it the Window motor or the regulator

Hello

I have a 2000 S80 non-turbo recently my drivers side widow has been malfunctioning. It has been getting stuck part way up and I have been unable to close it however it does move somewhat when I use the switch. recently it also looks like it popped out of the track. After consulting with friends and this website I have been getting two potential problems either its the Motor and it needs to be replaced or its the regulator and it needs to be replaced. I am hoping to find out what is most likely so i can buy that part. My thought was if it was the motor it wouldn't move at all but i wanna be sure. Thanks in advanced for your help.
