Replacing the rear brake pads on a 2008 XC-70

I would like advice from anyone who has replaced the rear brake pads for a 2008 XC-70. Is there a special tool required to replace the pads; and does the job require any calabrations etc. Can I do the job without taking my volo to the dealer or to a qualified shop?
