You can drop it about 2 inches before the control arms start to invert, giving you camber loss under suspension compression.
Also, stock struts like to bottom out under hard compression. Bad bad bad.
Personally, I wouldn't drop a 240 more than 2 inches without stiffer springs and revalved struts. At about 2", I would call that borderline as to whether or not I would go for shortened struts.
