Need help to ID a specific Sensor (89 245)

Post by Volvo_240_Atari_2600 »

Hi,

This is a US car with 260k
There is a sensor that threads into the block (right side-passenger side) that is set near the oil filter and alternator.
I have a poor contact as my (plug) is non existant and if I were to replace the plug and wire, I may want to replace the sensor as well.

Anyone know what that sensor is?

Thanks
Eric

On the side of block near oil filter is the oil pressure switch for the warning light in the instrument cluster.

Thank you for the come back.
That is what I thought, being near the oil filter but I just wanted to be sure.

Thank you again.
