1995 850 t5 vacum lines specific

Post by chrillew »

Hey
Im planning to change every single vacum lines on my car (Engine and turbo vacum). So what sizes should i get? Are silicone hoses ok to have? Feels like silicone hoses Would colapse on itself.
Or Any normal fuel rubber hose should work better?

What kind of hoses do u guys run with and works good?

That will be a job. Many of the lines are different size. Silicone is better in most areas under there. Emission and egr lines have to have certain type of lines do they don't deteriorate to fast.

I replaced all of my vacuum hoses too. About three or four years ago I used rubber fuel line to replace parts of the evap system vacuum lines and the boost control solenoid lines. These lines are still intact and look like they are holding up pretty well.
I have used a thick-wall silicone tubing for the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line and to replace various rubber elbows. The thick wall silicone won't collapse under vacuum. Silicone tubing in general is not as abrasion resistant as rubber tubing so you have to be selective where you use it.

allright, But the egr valve is removed by previous owner i guess, so is the air pump.
And evap system lines seems to be changed, its hard plastic vacum lines that seems to me brand new.

So the ones i need is for the "turbo control" and some at the intake manifold. As u recon i should go with rubber fuel line for the turbo system, but as i remember that one who goes to the manifold from turbo thats a bit smaller than the other ones? or same size? and put silicone hose from fuel pressure regulator.

Are there anymore vacum lines that ive missed?
