Hey All!

I am looking to replace the radio in my 2002 S80 to include satellite and auxiliary integration. A year ago I had to have a couple of control modules replaced at the dealer to correct issues with seats and windows. In the process the dealer swapped out my old AUM with a used one at no cost, though with the understanding that the illumination and steering will controls wouldn't work.

I am a little confused about the design of the AUM and would like to better understand how everything is integrated before I proceed to upgrade. Do I need to replace the AUM control module and then add the receiver, or is the AUM and the receiver one the same?

Any clarification is greatly appreciated. Understanding better equates to money saved going forward.
