What injectors for 93 940 regina?

After 413K miles I am considering replacing the injectors on my 93 940 Regina. Because of my inexperience and the age of these parts I would rather use new or remanufactured parts instead of just removing and cleaning the existing ones. I am a bit confused about the options out there. IPD sells a part listed for my car at appx. $200 each. Too rich! Other sites list remanufactured injectors at around $50 each, but the part #s have an extra digit (13895636 )over what is printed on the blue injectors currently on the car. And their injectors are an orange color. The part # on my blue injectors are: 1389563. Can anyone clear this up for me?

I don't think the colour makes any difference. If the injector is listed for your vehicle then it should work. My daughter's Renault Espace has 2 red, 1 green and 1 blue and it runs like a dream.

I have found one site selling re-manufactured injectors for your car at $31.35. They are listed as "direct OE replacement."

Thanks for the quick reply! One of the things that has me concerned is the fact that I don't see a separate injector listed for Regina equipped cars. Also, when I try to match part #s, I am not sure that 1389563 is a match for 13895636. I have not found an injector with the shorter part #.

The Regina injectors are definitely different from Bosch injectors. The regina have the pintle up inside the injector and a hole where injector sprays. Bosch have the visible pintle sticking through the larger hole.

Bosch didn't go to the spray hole type until later.

All this being said, the injectors are interchangeable if the fuel delivery rate is the same in most cases.

I am learning a bit here! That being said, I still don't know exactly which part to get, or where I can get them for a reasonable price. Bill of D, could you forward the site where you found injectors for a regina? J57, do you mean that just about any injector for a redblock will work on my car? Thanks again for your help. With a little luck, maybe I can get this old bus to 500K.

Hello,
I sent my b230f Regina(blue) injectors away to be cleaned and the company called me and told me that two of them had higher than spec resistance. They sold me two identical refurbished ones for about $80.00/pair. They were very fast with turnaround and very professional. Maybe you can just send yours in for testing and cleaning and ask them if you need replacements.

Quick question, when I ordered the Bosch injector seal kit(s) , they came with the yellow protector cap. Am I missing them on the Regina (blue) injectors ? They don't seem to fit on those tips , are they for the Bosch ones only ? I just put them back on the manifold without using the caps. Just curious.

The caps only go on Bosch ones. You did the right thing.
