Good news, bad news.
I bolted everything up and got my '00 T6 "running".
I need some advice, the car would start and run pretty choppy then get worse and eventually die. It would die after 5-8 seconds of bad running.
Here is what I think it is: I had 5/8 tank in the car and it has been sitting for over 3 years. I topped it off with 4 gallons of 91 octane with some seafoam but I don't think that was enough to get away from the bad gas. The old gas smelled acceptable but I understand that gas turns to shit after sitting.
The running problem may coincide with bad gas so you think I should start there?
How should I drain the gas from the tank? Do I have to remove the plastic cover? Remove the whole tank? I tried to pump it out and was very unsuccessful.
I really hope there is a trick as I don't want to drop the whole tank!
Gas problem?

Update:
The car is responding to throttle and idling. It has a very irregular idle and seems like it's missing on a cylinder or two. When I put it to ~3k rpm it smoothers out significantly.
While running the car pops the codes P0300 P1355 P1357 P1359 P1361
Any ideas?
