I would definitely want to get my Volvo check out, but not sure how to go about it since I'm not the original owner. On a side note, I found in the users manual a card to mail in, if you transfered/sold the vehicle, should I try to send it in (I wonder if the Address is still correct

About the Volvo recalls...
I recently bought my 1995 Volvo 850. I noticed that there are some recalls that may not have been done on my car (bought it from a independent dealer, and he has no idea). I've been reading some posts here and realize that I may not be entitled to the recalls (like my name not being registered w/ volvo. Does anyone understand what I'm saying?

Recalls are available to you whether you are "registered" with Volvo or not. The registration just helps Volvo notify owners of recalls.
Call any Volvo dealer's service department and give them your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). They can check Volvo's records to see if there are any open recalls on your car.

Thank you!
MY old car didn't have any recalls or things related to the dealership and this is my second car so I really didn't know this kinda stuff. I didn't know exactly what a open recall was, and yes, my CARFAX report did say something about the last recall still being open, etc.
Again thank you and I will call up my local dealership
