Hi folks. I have a 1990 740 which has failed test on play at the inner ball joint on nearside tie rod. I don't mean the ball joint at the wheel on the track rod end, I mean the one at the opposite end of the tie rod where it joins the rack. Question - can I replace JUST the tie rod or is it a new rack? If I can replace the tie rod, how do I remove the old one?
