Fuel door won't open on 2000 C70

The fuel door on my C70 will not open with the button on the door inside. To open it I need to pull the cord in the trunk. When I hit the button inside there is no noise and the latch inside the fuel door doesn't seem to be stuck.

I would try to see if its the button or the wiring to connect it. I dont know how feasible this is for you but try finding another button (Junkyard, dealer, really, really good friend?) and see if that works If it does then your button broke, if it isn't then the problem is a wiring connection somewhere. On this fourm somwhere I'm pretty sure you can find a wiring diagram.
