2003 V40 Battery problem

Hi all.

I have replaced my battery about a month ago thinking that it was the problem when my car would not start. Now this evening the car won't start again due to flat battery.(my new one). Once I push start the car it drives fine but the battery only charges a little.

Does my alternator have bushes and how difficult is it to change them. Do I need to remove the complete alternator to get to them.

Any advice would be great-thank you
