While driving my late model Volvo I heard a buzzing noise coming from the engine bay area. I took my car to the Cincinnati Volvo dealship on the east side to town (There are 2 Volvo dealerships in Cincinnati, West Chester & the one I went to on the east side). They said the car has a bad catalytic converter. They wanted $1,800.00 to replace it. I asked why so much & was told labor is $125/hour & the part was $1,300.00. I said forget it.
I took the car to Nordic Motors, a Volvo specific repair shop, on Montgomery Road in Cincinnati & paid less than half & they used Volvo parts.
If you live in Cincinnati avoid the east side Volvo dealership.
