Rear heated seats, but where are the switches?

Post by Fish stick88 »

Well, trying to install some wiring to my new speakers today, and I found that my rear seats have a heater element...
Can't seem to locate the switches, they wouldn't be tied in with the front passenger would they? Usually they are in back, but where are mine....

The switches are in the rear of the center console if you have them.

Do both the seat cushion and seat backs have heating element wires coming out of them? Lift up the rear seat cushion and see if the harness is prewired under there!

Lee, I knew they should be there, but its not wired to there.
Burnout - There is a wire going to the seat backs, its baby blue in color.
They wouldn't put these in and then not use them right!?
My mom's Toyota 4Runner has features that just need to be wired up, otherwise they work, isn't that extremely pointless?

I have a rear heated seat harness for an S70.... although the S70 differs in that there is one switch for both seats. In yours, there is one switch per seat. If it's something you need and think you could make work, let me know!

I will likely be taking a look later this week, I just tried taking a peak under my dash, and broke a couple plastic pieces. and the ashtray holder. My luck is somewhat down right now, I'll be in touch. Thanks

Hooray for pictures! Would like to see these wires etc.

I think the replies sort of lost track that have an 850, not an x70.

But I guess a related question is, can an S70 harness and switch, work for the 850 rear seat heaters?
