A/C Blower Runs On

I have a 2001 V70XC. Occasionally, after I have turned off my car, I return to the car and find that the A/C blower (not the radiator blower) has come back on and is running. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this situation?

I have an '01 s60 that is exhibiting the same behavior. Sometimes the climate control blower turns on by itself when the car's sitting. Any ideas?

From what I have read - my car has not been modified - that was a factory modification designed to reduce the corrosion on the evaporator coil. So long as it doesn't run to the point where it kills the battery I would say it is normal.
