SRS light on after heater core replaced
I recently did some serious work on my 2000 XC70 and now the SRS airbag light is stuck on. I found that user Wheezy also had this problem last month. I had to replace the heater core in my car and I also needed to clean the interior (some bad smells) so I removed the front seats (battery disconnected). I put everything back together and hooked the battery up and drove the car for few days. Now all of sudden when I started the car today the SRS light is on and I'm not sure what I did to trigger it. I checked the seat connections and everything appears fine. I had to remove the glove box insert to get at the center console panels and it was difficult to replace. I'm thinking I may have damaged some wires behind the glove box insert (black box) where the airbag is located.

Finally purchased the Autel EU702 scanner with SRS feature. I also have used SRS sensor for the B-piller if that is what is really bad. I'll check on this car once I put the battery back in her. Right now I can't get the car started for some reason (bad fuel pump?).

I would guess that you pulled on one of the wires on the passenger side air bag or didnt hook up the ground. When you slide the glove box out, you will see 3 10mm bolts that hold the dash. Check the middle one as it is a ground for the air bag. If that fails, I would take the dash out and inspect the wires going to the air bag.

Btw, how bad of a job was it? I have a really bad heater core that I am about to swap out. I am planning on buying a "new " carpet, the leaking coolant pretty much destroyed it.
