Hello,
Thank you in advance for any help you could provide.
I drive a 2004 Volvo XC70. Kilometers are about 219,000. The car is still driving great other than a squeak from the rear end which I have determined to be the sway bar and the parts have been ordered.
What is confusing me is a groan/rough driving feel at the 2,000 RPMs mark. Early this January I noticed that my coolant was leaking. Took it in and they found that a clamp had become loose. They removed the drip pan and re-tightened everything.
When I got the car back, there was a flapping noise coming from the front passenger side. Returned the car, which they had discovered the drip pan was loose, so they added new screws and put it back in place.
Now the rattle is gone but the car seems to have a hard time around the 2,000 RPMs mark. I've taken it back but they thought it was the motor mounts due to the cold. Well, we have had great weather here and the feel/groan is still there. It only happens around the 2,000 RPMs mark both on accelerating and decelerating. As soon as it leaves the 2,000 RPMs, everything seems fine and the car drives great. Not sure what I can test or look at. I do not have a lot of experience but would like to learn. As well, there does not seem to be any noise when the car is idling.

Does the car do this in park and you rev the engine to 2k?
