Installed new HU, now navi and instrument clock won't work?

Greetings!
I am a new to the Volvo community so go easy on me. I did multiple attempts to search this topic but to no avail...

I recently replaced my OEM headunit with a Kenwood KIV-701 in my 2002 V70. I read all the install tutorials and upon firing up the car, the dash clock just sits with dashes, and the OEM navigation system no longer works. The wiring diagrams supplied on this site don't seem to show much info on the navigation system. Is it somehow wired up to the OEM headunit? I was not able to plug in the 6-pin DIN connector as the new deck had no plug in for it. Based on the threads dealing with the clock issue, it seemed to point to a blown fuse but all of my fuses checked out okay. I am at a loss. Can anyone shed any light on these issues?
