"2000 oboTurbo intercooled b21 volvo 240 wagon,lowerd,virgo wheels,all new clarion speakers,all new brakes front and rear with all new rotors pwr windows door locks heated seats tan interior,clear front marker lenses,pwr antt ac.replaced the rear tires on sat has 3" straight pipe which helps with building boost.i have adjusted the waste gate so now it is pushing 10lbs boost instead of factory 6lbs.inside needs front seat covers or new seats since they r worn.i do have title it is totaled but i bought the car knowing it because u cant find a volvo 240 turbo wagon and if u do there r really spendy.the car was in a front collision and was totled due to the age of the car.it drives straight and u cannot c any areas where it was hit.i was planning on doing a 5spd man swap but i dont have time and have a few other cars alreadyif someone wanted to do a man swap it would run about 275 for trans cluch cable pedle flex plate and clutch. runs great a blast to drive.call or text for more info 503 929 3726 i can send pics via text will trade for a good running 3/4 ton or 1 ton truck"

kind of puts me on edge, but having a sportier version of the 240 is appealing.

"Collision" is a red flag word. So is "totalled". But everybody's different, everybody's needs for a car are different. What are yours? What is your wrenching ability? How much are they asking? The answers to those questions are paramount.

Am I reading this correctly - 2000 obo is $2000 or best offer?

What year is the car? I reckon it can't be later than 1985 with a B21ET engine.

Like Matthew, my alarm bells would ring at "collision" and "totalled". If the present owner was so keen to own the car what has changed his mind? He hasn't time to do the manual gearbox swap, a rather feeble excuse for selling it. If I had been so keen to buy the thing in the first place I would certainly have driven it with the auto box until I had time to do the swap.

Sounds decidedly dodgy to me.

Turbo cars .... messing with the boost can be an issue. I've always been leary of buy a used turbo car, mainly because unless they came with a turbo timer, most people don't know enough to read the owners manual on what the proper procedure is for shutting them off. Passed up a nice 850 turbo wagon simply because the girl that owned it had no clue you were supposed to let them idle down for a bit before you shut them off, now add some kid that wanted to hot rod it and probably didn't consider the issues of increased egt's by increasing boost .... asking for trouble imo.
