'96 960 Power Window Issue

Post by Eram »

Hello,

I have a '96 960 Sedan with a driver's side power window problem. The window goes down like a charm but then I need to rock the button back and forth to make it go back up (this works 90% of the time the other 10% I'm out of luck). I've had cars where the window motor was dead or dying and ususally you can hear it struggle. I don't hear anything like that so before I buy a new motor and take the door apart, I figured I would ask for help! Any ideas?

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.

I would suspect the switch. Possibly a bad/dirty contact.

Bill.
