My 1993 850 (non-t) has an light on the dash that normally indicates when winter mode is selected. (It's an orange "up" arrow). Lately, the light has been flashing and this will on occasion coincide with a severe power loss. The owner's manual suggests a problem with the automatic gearbox and recommends seeing the dealer.
If anyone has experienced this similar problem or knows what it is, how much it costs to repair and if it can be user serviced, please drop me a line.
