engine differences in V70

I am sad to report that after a rear end assault by a speeding Ford 150, my beloved s70 has gone to Volvo heaven. But it took one for the gipper, and I am alive and well. I am looking to replace with a V70 2000 to 2010. What are the differences between a 5 cylinder and 4 cylinder turbo in performance and reliability. I have driven a 4 cylinder turbo 2004 : it had a lot of vibration which the dealer said was normal for 4 cylinder cars. True? I also am aware that that the abs fix by Victor is not available for 2002 on up. Is this still a problem? Cost for resolving that problem? Thanks for any comments.

The 5 cylinders vibrate more than any car I've ever driven, including old 80s 4 cylinders.

Volvos very commonly have problems with engine mounts. If you feel an abnormal amount of vibration, chances are it needs 1 or 2 mounts replaced.

The white block series or engines (4, 5, and 6) are all very tough and essentially the same engines with a cylinder lopped off or added on. The 5 cylinder is in my opinion a good balance of power (in turbo versions) and somewhat decent [highway] fuel economy.
