2003 S60 Bumper Removal

Post by Ken_in_D »

Sorry if this is a repeat, but I'm having trouble finding a decent procedure for this. I need to replace a passenger side headlight lens on my wife's S60 and it appears that I need to remove the bumper to do this. Does anyone have a procedure (with photos) for doing this? I've seen instructions to remove the bumper cover, remove 2 screws, loosen and push through 2 torx on the fenders and punch through 6(?) clips at the top. How about the reinstall? Does it take two people to align and re-attach the fender torx? Also, I saw one comment about not setting off the airbags - any worries there? Thanks in advance.

Assuming your 2003 is close to my 2002, I took some fairly detailed photos at this thread. It's in a PDF.

I reattached the bumper only with myself, took some jiggling of it, but not that difficult.
