OBDII Code P0304

Post by iceb52! »

I have a 2000 V70 with 136000 miles. Car started running rough yesterday. OBDII code is P0304 (Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected). What could be the problem?

Injector, sparkplug, ????

Thanks

Either the plug or coil pack for cylinder four has a problem. Clear the codes and see if it returns.

Most likely the Coil Pack (quite common with High Milage). You can get news one at Autozone for less than $40.

Thanks for the help. The piece of metal on the plug that bends over the electrode was broken off. It was a Volvo plug installed by the dealer about 10,000 miles ago. I replaced it myself and the car is running great now. I showed the plug to the dealer and he just shrugged and said "bad plug." Anyway, thanks again.
