I need some advice on engine starting problems.
I recently replaced the crankcase ventilation system.
As part of the job I also replaced the fuel injectors with a set of rebuilt units.
Cleaned out the throttle body and the intake manifold.
Also replaced the fuel filter.
The repair job went very well - car runs perfectly, had no warning lights or codes after the fact & fuel consumption is improved a bit.
Only problem is that the car is difficult to start on a cold engine.
You have to feather the accelarator a bit for it to start and it takes a fair bit of cranking.
The remote starter won't start a cold engine at all.
Once the engine is warmed up she starts first thing.
I suspected air in the fuel system and have bled the system about nine times through the schrader valve mounted on the fuel rail.
But, the problem is not going away.
Since the car sat for a few weeks with the battery disconnected whilst I did the repairs I was wondering whether I should take it to the Volvo dealers to get the software updated?
I am out of options here & will appreciate any advice.
Thanks,
Johan
