The car started to act up by first wanting to stall then shaking all the way home with the engine light flashing.
It has a new Xemodex ETM, so I concluded either the MAF or a misfire (coil or plug). I have ordered a new MAF sensor, because before this all started it was occasionally wanting to stall at low speeds but that's it. Now it not only shakes, but also squeals and I'm concerned it may be something else. I don't want to replace the MAF until I'm convinced it's the problem. The only other thing worth mentioning is that I was topping up the oil on a windy day without a funnel and spilled some all over the engine cover. Could some of that oil (if having seeped down to the plugs) be the culprit?
I disconnected the connection to the MAF, but still shaking. I have not tried with the MAF completely removed. Is there a difference?
There is a video at the following link...
