Smoke ?,Steam? above steering column

Smoke ?,Steam? above steering column

My son's T5 had a small non smelling puff ofsteam or smoke above the steering column. Any thoughts would be appreciated. He is still looking for a mechanic in the Shelton West Haven CT area.

Any resolution on this? I had this happen to me this morning except it smelled bad.....

any thoughts appreciated.
