Hello all,
My 1992 960 turned the big 300k yesterday, not miles, but kilometres.
My thoughts regarding overall ownership are: durable car, great drive, very annoying niggles often, parts not so cheap, a safe drive, a relatively easy car to do most things myself on, fantastic seat (altough the drivers seat is getting a bit flat), poor airconditioner, there are days I want to park it where it gets stolen quickly as I am sick of owning it, but most days it's OK.
Still, overall, the cheapest car to run of all cars I have owned by a long way: Inexpensive to buy, no residual value-so no depreciation, low fuel costs due to LPG usage, very cheap to insure and will last many more years as long as I look after it. I think I know what being the final consumer means by now....
Best regards, Erik.
