I need HELP!!!
I have a 2000 S70. Most times when I go to start it, it will start and then stall after a split second. Sometimes it takes 3-4 attempts to get her going, but sometimes 20 or more. This is very frustrating!!! Does anyone know what the problem might be??
Thanks for your suggestion.

I think I know what's wrong. My 1998 V70 2.5LPT had the same problem.
It is the aerial that picks up the signal from the chip in the key to allow the engine to run (immobiliser). It will only start normally when you remove the key and then put it back in the ignition. To simulate this fault then pull your key apart and take out the little black chip, don't lose it! try to start your car with the key, then insert the key and hold the chip close to the steering column and the car will start and run.
My spare key worked for a while then the same fault. Replaced the aerial around the ignition key (Easy 10 min job) and has not failed since (last 12 months) - Both original keys are fine.
