Hello...I have Two Volvo's one 80 240 and a 86 240 with a LARGE hole in the block. I just bought the 1980 but it has a problen . The guy ran into a curb hit the front axel and bent it up pretty good.It looks like a frame piece and holds the rack, the front tires and supports the engine I want to know it the axel from my 86 is the same as it has become a donor car. I can't find any part numbers for it OR anyone who sells them,.
ANY help would be appreciated
THANKS.............Dave

Hi Dave,
You've probably already figured this out by now (it is Oct. 30) but if not.. The part you mention is the front crossmember. I'd imagine it is the same part '80 & '86.... but why not contact a local bodyshop or Volvo dealership?
Cheers, MBL
