Hi all,
v50 2.0D 2005
Just trying to investigate and cure my ongoing issue of lack of boost and intermittent limp mode.
Have connected to diagnostics port via bluetooth adaptor and this is what codes have come back
P0047 = TURBO CHARGER/SUPERCHARGER BOOST CONTROL 'A' CIRCUIT LOW
P2263 = TURBO CHARGER/SUPERCHARGER BOOST PERFORMANCE
P2002 = DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER EFFICENCY BELOW THRESHOLD (BANK1)
P2584 = FUEL ADDITIVE CONTROL MODUALE REQUESTED MIL ILLUMINATION
To add to the bad luck I have the 'Anti Skid' message on dash, this has been there for about 6 months and volvo checked and requires a new ABS moduale
These all look pretty bad news to me, can anyone give me any pointers please
Many thanks
Are these codes bad news
Diesel!
Lucky guy.
Did some digging around and see the p0047 comes up on many vehicle brands from Ford euro diesels to Benz. also found this thread.

Symptoms sound similar but I wouldn't say the solution was reported as succeeding.
I would go through the inlet pipe by pipe making sure they are clean, that the MAF etc is clean. Maybe even checking the EGR is clean.

What sort of driving do you mainly do - urban, main roads/motorway or a mix?
The particulate filter is designed to self-clean but this can only happen at speeds which are generally higher than urban driving. I have found that a 20 - 30 mile motorway trip at 70 mph will clean the filter enough to allow it to continue its work. This should be done as soon as the warning light comes on as the longer you delay the harder it is to clean the filter.
If this doesn't do the trick I would suggest a new filter.
Bill.
