RMS? S70 T5 started leaking way too much oil

RMS? S70 T5 started leaking way too much oil

Well about six months ago my trusty S70 T5 started leaking way too much oil. It didn't seem to have noticeable crankcase pressure, but I cleaned the PTC nipple, and while that was apart I blew into the larger hose which leads back to the black plastic oil seperator box to see if that was clear - which it was. I removed the o-ring on the dipstick just to make sure there was no crankcase pressure build up - but sadly did not see any improvement in the oil leakage.
Got kinda ticked off and luckily had use of another vehicle so it has just sat in the garage since. I recently got back into it, cleaned off the underside of the engine, trans, turbo, etc, and ran it for 15 minutes. The rear main seal is definitely leaking. So I guess my question now is - is it too late to try the complete PCV procedure or has the horse already left the barn ?
More specifically has anyone had success in completely stopping a fairly heavy rms leak simply by doing a complete PCV service ?
Any and all comments or suggestions ( even wise ass ones ) would be appreciated. Thank you all for reading.

If you ran without dipstick o ring and the breather box wasn't plugged as indicated by the air check then I'd give very little chance to anything but RMS change fixing that leak.

Thanks for your input jimmy57, you have confirmed my worst ( and most probable scenario ) fear . I know you have way more experience along these lines than I do, and I appreciate your quick response.
