Head light /high beam switches

Can you help me please. After using this car for more than 8 moths i have this strage question. When I start my car the headlight comes on. onthis 199 S70: (1) how do i operate te high beam only to flashes ? (2) where is the switch locatd for permanently switching on? (3) is there any swich to off the headlights?

What you're describing is the Daylight Running Lights (DRL). Assuming you live in the United States, you can turn these off (Canada you cannot legally).

If you haven't looked in your manual:

This will show you the switch. The little knob marked A in the image, controls the DRL. To change the function (on or off), using a small screwdriver (flathead) turn the knob counter-clockwise. This will turn the DRL off. So when your car starts, the DRL will not come on.

To use the high beam to flash, pull the turn signal lever towards you.
