Need S70 60k service advice, and other related questions.Thx Topic is solved

Hello all,

Soon I will be taking my 2000 S70 with 57k miles in for its scheduled 60k service and had a few questions for you, the experts.

Beside the recommended 60k services in the owners manual, I wanted to run a few additional services by you and get your thoughts and estimated costs.

1. Auto Tran Fluid changed

2. Coolant change

Am I missing any other services that you would recommend outside the owners manual for the 60k?


Also, should I go to the dealer for the service or find a decent foreign Independent and have things done "a la Carte"...Thoughts?

Cost of the 60k estimated dealer and Indy?

A good independent mech will likely save you 33 - 50% compared with the dealer.

Don't just change the tranny fluid, flush it. See IPDs website for details.
