940 Turbo Volvo Water Pump Replacement

Hey everyone. My local mechanic is booked solid and my water pump is screeching and wobbly. I understand that the replacement is pretty straight forward and usually takes 1.5 hours? My mechanic has offered me use of an open bay to do it on my own...he wants to see if I can do it in the book time.

I'm curious if there are any tricks to replacement of a water pump or things to avoid?
