Update on strange wheel noise
I just wanted to post that it seems I have fixed the strange moaning/whirring noise I would get out of the right rear wheel when making a left hand turn. After replacing the wheel bearing and finding this had nothing to do with it, I tried cleaning all of the brake components in that wheel. This didn't really help either. The noise got worse and would do it almost all of the time, turning or not. So I pulled the wheel off removed the caliper and rotor. I used a small grinding wheel on a rototool and ground off the small rusty lip created by the pads wearing on the rotor. The rotor did not to be replaced. I also ground the lip created by the e-brake shoes on the inside of the rotor and lightly roughened that surface. I removed the brake pads which had plenty of meat left on them and were Volvo parts and cleaned them well along with the metal anti squeal plates. I then added a bead of RTV across the backsides of the pads with the plates in the correct position and let dry for about 20 minutes. I used the rototool to remove rust on the caliper surfaces that come in contact with the pads and used some bearing grease on those surfaces so that the pads would float freely within the caliper as they are meant to do. I also loosened the e-brake shoes by a couple of notches as they seemed very tight. I reassmebled the parts and so far (3 days) have had no noises. I also made sure I still had a good e-brake. Thats about it.
