Hello,
Was wondering if you could help me.I have a 2003 volvo s60 with 180k
I bought for my daughter. The drivers side floor mat has that dreaded leak
and have narrowed it down to sunroof drain,( when pouring water in drain,
it drains out but some comes inside and have seen it coming from behind hood release)
Have blown out the drains with compressed air.I have removed the A Pillar but there is
no drain hose there that I have seen on youtube video for s40. Is this tube behind metal frame
piece and unexposed as in other models, and if I remove the hood latch and carpet, do you
think I will be able to see the hose and possible leak?
Thanks for your help

I may have the same problem. My 2000 S70 leak. Though I didn't check the drain yet. But according to this thread https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... =1&t=24866 , the tube is inside of the metal pillar. If blowing is not working, what to do? Help, I am living in wet Florida.

- I have a 2004 V70 with 100K miles. No leak inside, but since I did my 2005 XC90 sunroof drain maintencnace, I was thinking the same for my 2004 V70.

- I removed the A-pillar (search youtube for tricks!!!), and can confirmed that for the 2004 V70, in contrast to the 2005 XC90, the drain tube is INSIDE the metal hollow pillar, i.e., inaccessible as far as I know. So...
1. If you have no clogging issue: open the sunroof, use some wet paper towel and wipe clean the grime/debris. Make sure nothing gets down the drain holes. Then rinse with water, make sure it drains at the bottom of the car.
2. If you have clogging issue, my suggestion is to use the grass trimmer spool and poke the drain hose. Then rinse it with water.

This works much better than wire2. If you have clogging issue, my suggestion is to use the grass trimmer spool and poke the drain hose. Then rinse it with water.
