V70 starting problem following service

Post by Celtic »

Hello - we have a starting problem immediately following service, taking several goes to start it, sometimes the key getting stuck with a message appearing telling us to go into P to release key (car is already in P!), plus the wing mirrors were refusing to close on locking. Took car back immediately and they couldn't find a problem but did try to solve the wing mirror problem. That problem appeared again the following day but now seems ok. The dealer said that as no fault showed up on their equipment, the problem was probably being caused by the new 2013 software and would sort itself out! It didn't so a few days later returned car again and we have now been told that they have experienced the intermittent starting problem themselves but don't know what it is and cannot fix it, adding it could be a serious electrical problem, not connected to the service. I find it hard to believe that prior to the service there was never any problem with starting the car - always started first time - and now being told that it is coincidental. Has anyone else experienced problems following service with installation of new 2013 software. Only 14,000 on the clock. Help please!
