2004 C70 Convertible Power Window Issue

Post by xk150 »

Good Evenng,

Stil wrestling with the power window on my C70 convertible... Passenger side door window operates intermitently... both switches will operate the window just fine when it is working... then days and weeks when it will not operate at all.

Here is my question... on this model, is there an electrical connector to disconnect all electrical for the door in the door frame... I can see what appears to be a connector wiht a set secrew... i removed screw and tried gingerly to separate what could be a connector but no lock... Just like if i was going to remove the door and need to disconnect the electrical.

Thanks

The screw locks the connector. Once the screw is removed the connector housing twists and it separates itself.

Good Evening,

My window saga continues... Power window on passenger side still not working...
This evening, I removed the door panel again and disconnectred the connector (two wires) that goes to the window motor... I connected my meter to the connector coming from the switch...

When I activatred the window switch for the passnger window from both drivers side and passenger side I got a +11.83 volts in one direction and a -11.83 volts in the other direction.

I am assuming the proper power is going to the window motor... my next assumption is I have a intermitent problem with the window motor... since when working everything is fine.

Any help would be most apreciated.
Thanks
