780 Starting Problems Topic is solved

Ok so when I try to start the car after its been sitting over night you have to trun the key around 5 times for the starter to kick in. We have already replaced the alternator and the starter. Could it be the actual ignition? Thanks

there is a check valve on the main fuel pump so the car holds pressure and doesn't drain down when you turn it off. When they go bad it takes a while to get them started. The check valve assembly is available. I will see if I can locate one. What is a 780? Did volvo make an 8 cyl?

faulty ignition switch electrical part. sorry I misread your problem forget the fuel check valve.

ok, thats what i figured, 780 is a 4 cylinder turbo or 6 cylinder by Bertone, only made for a couple of years.
