03 XC70 started in 3rd...

Did a nice 600 km road trip and had no problems at all but at the last light before home and my car starts in 3rd gear and displays a W instead of a D on the display. The car gets going and I pop it over to maual mode to see what happens and it showed 3rd gear and at the next stop it was fine. Have had this happen before but it displayed a E instead of the D. Mechanic wasnt worried so neither was I but it happened again 7 months later. The car shifts great and has lots of power and there is no light on or message so could it have just been a hiccup in the system or should I be looking at upgrading to a newerish xc70?

Did you hit the W button?
Did you try tapping it a few times

LOL. Is that what that means! I didnt even think about that but I bet thats what it was. I have never used the winter button so I will take her for a spin and try it out. Thanks man
