Heating / AC System Not Working
Everytime I turn on my heat a "motor" under the glove compartment makes some squealing noises and I smell a burning smell. I don't have my service manual right now so I can't look up the part. My question is if anyone knows if that unit is easy to replace (what part # might that be) or if I should just have a mechanic do it.

Sounds to me like you have fried the bearings in your fan motor. It is located below the glove compartment. There is a cover panel below the glove compartment and above the footwell. Take this out. You will see the motor. Just unbolt it and it will drop out. You should be able to get it to look at in about 10 minutes. Give it a try and let us know what you find.
