trying to find a rsonalbe lmechanic

Post by George 1998 S70 »

I have a 1998 S70, bought as used about an year ago. I am still trying to settle down with a relaible mechanic. Today I took it (recommnded by a friend of mine) for a complete viasul and drive inspection. Afdter 1.5 hrs he cllaed me a nd gave me a whole list of things that i should change. So told him to change the essential things ony.

So fe said should change (1) Steering U joint - part and labour Cancadian Dollars 312; Power steerting rod -end part and lab CAD 115; lower engine mount CAD 219; Brake floud change and bleed CAD92; wheel alignment CAD69; TOTAL PAID CAD 807 = taxes
Other things he recomnmended to change (1) cap, rotar and wire - parts and lab CAD 191; fuel filter p & l - CAD81; throttle housing cleand p & l - CAD 164;

I am wondering whether this is reasonalble.

Also all of suddne after i brought from the service the front paasenger side automatic door opener is not openging (can lock by not open) i have to pull it with my hand. is it easy to fisx?

thanks very musch for your opinion.

George
