98 s70 glt 13g to 16t questions

Hi. I have a 98 s70 glt 13g with 203k miles on it. I have purchased a 16t turbo off a t5. I just wanted to know how big of a job this is and if theres any other parts i need to change.

The first thing you will need to do is convert the 16T to a 16G unless you want to redo the entire downpipe and catalytic converter. The only difference is the flange on the hot side, it is angled on a T and straight on a G. It may actually swap between the two units if the exhaust impeller is the same size. I've never tried it so I don't know.

The next step is to call Lucky at ARD Tuning and get a tune to properly deal with the extra boost.

Thanks. It actually says its for a straight flange. So maybe ill be good with that. But do you think i could get away without tuning it for now because i dont really have the money to tune it yet.

Without the tune it won't so much more than the 13 does since the turbo control valve will open the wastegate at about the same boost setting.
