2000 S80 T6 Radio replacement/Turbo issues

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

2000 S80 T6 Radio replacement/Turbo issues

Two things:
What adapters will I need to connect an aftermarket stereo to my car? Plug for antennae and amp?

Second:
Car has been surging a lot under hard acceleration. Sometimes it screams, other times it seems I'm pulling a truck behind me. Recent tune up included plugs, air filter, ETM cleaning. Replaced battery and alternator. Getting code P0036.

P0036 "O2 Sensor heater control circuit (Bank 1 Sensor 2)" indicates a problem with the pre-heater circuit in the O2 sensor. More than likely it's the downstream sensor at the catalytic converter.

I had the same failure in my 03 V70 non-turbo. In my case it was a totally open circuit in the pre-heater portion of the sensor. It would throw a check engine light simply by turning the ignition on - I didn't even have crank up the engine.

You can check out the wiring to the sensor for a frayed or shorted wire, but given the age of your car it's probably a bad sensor.

I've ordered sensors. Installed boost gauge today. Boost gauge flutters around 15-20 when it pulls hard. Then it drops to 8 or so. I replaced all vacuum lines and ordered a boost control valve. I love it when it runs great. Also noticed the headlights dim under hard acceleration. Brand new alternator and battery.
