1995 940 Idle Air control valve cleaning

I have a 1995 Volvo 940. It's been idling very rough even when warm up. It will even die randomly after a long day's drive when stop at an intersection. Someone has suggested me to clean the IAC. Do you know whether the IAC on 940 can be removed using the same steps as your 850?
