1994 850 blower motor not working on any speed

Up until recently i had speeds 1-3 and no 4 i replaced the relay for the high speed and it worked for a day, i am fine with out it. I now have lost all 3 lower speeds is there a way to test the resistor or is thi te only thing it can be? I did hook the motor up to a 12 volt source and it works fine. I turned the key on and have approx +8v through the resstor but fan doesnt spin what ca i do to verify its the resistor.
