I have a beautiful White 2008 C30 2.0D R-Design. I am a girl so although I love my car to bits I have no idea how it works
Yesterday after leaving work I started the car as usual however after it had turned over it would not rev. Everything was working on the car, lights, aircon, radio, indicators, breaks and the engine was ticking over but there was just no response from the accelertor pedal
I sat in the car and turned it restarted it a few times and still the same thing happened. I relocked the car and reopened it and still the same thing happened.
By the time I had called the RAC and reported the problem the car autolocked and set the alarm. I inevitably set off the alarm at which point the message window read 'Alarm system triggered' I reset the alarm and tried the engine again and this time it worked! Back to responding to the accelerator pedal again
I drove it home and I have had no issue with it since.
Could someone please tell me if I am just being a 'girl' and not doing something I should be or is there a 'safe' mode that the car goes into that I should reset? If so, how do I do this?
