I have a 2001 S80 2.9 with about 105000 mi. Like others, I've gotten the "bulb failure, position light" indication with reference to no brake lights. Only the 3rd brake light was working. I remedied the problem by replace a relay . This time, however, I got the indication but no parking lights, no tail lights and no license plate lights will illuminate. Checked fuses 30 & 31, were OK but replaced anyway. All other lights on the vehicle work with the exception of my RF Fog Lamp. However, this fog lamp being out is a pre-existing state and DID NOT trigger the BULB FAILURE POSITION LIGHT message on my dash. I checked all of the standard fuses in the engine compartment, drivers side and trunk (regardless of labeled purpose) for continuity and all passed. Still cannot get any tail lights (regardless of light switch position), no parking lights and no lic. plate lights. I hate to give in and take it the dealer but can't pass safety insp. like this. Any suggestions you can offer will be appreciated. Thank you
