Is there a way to change this out in a basic garage without having the alignment get messed up??

Turns out it wasn't the bearing.. The part in the center of the strut that screws in the center of the strut.It might be the shock absorber retaining nut.. It had come loose and unscrewed about half way out. Tightened it up and all the clunking and noise from the passenger side gone. I'm sorry I don't know the name exactly. Still love this site.
